School Uniform

We want our children to look smart when at school and feel proud to wear their uniform and to be part of the Ladysmith Federation community.

Our uniform policy is outlined below.   If a child is wearing a jumper, cardigan or fleece, we expect it to be in the school colour of burgundy. If desired, branded Ladysmith Federation jumpers and fleeces can be bought in Thomas Moore in Exeter but the rest of the uniform can be purchased from any high street store or supermarket.

Pre-loved uniform can be purchased from the CPTT Pre-loved uniform shop.  For details, please see the information below.

Main Uniform

  • Burgundy jumper or cardigan (with logo)
  • White or burgundy polo shirt or open neck white shirt
  • Grey or black trousers
  • Grey or black shorts
  • Grey or black pinafore dress or pleated skirt
  • White, grey, burgundy or black tights or socks
  • Sensible, smart, black flat shoes
  • Blue and white checked or striped dress (in Summer)
PE
  • Navy or black shorts or tracksuit bottoms
  • Burgundy or white polo shirt or T-shirt
  • Plimsols or Trainers
  • Long hair tied back
Hair, Jewellery and accessories
  • No jewellery allowed except for a watch and only small, plain studs if children have pierced ears.  These need to be covered with tape during PE if they cannot be taken out.
  • Watches – to be analogue or digital.  No smart watches (no watches with cameras or access to the internet).
  • Hair accessories are to be kept to a discreet minimum.
  • Dyed hair is not allowed.
  • Make up and nail varnish should not be worn in school.

There is no set uniform for Nursery children.

The above uniform policy has been agreed by the Federation Governors as part of the Federation Behaviour Policy.

Pre-loved Uniform Sales

The CPTT has lots of great quality pre-loved school uniform for sale. All money goes to the school.
