School Uniform

We want our children to look smart when at school and feel proud to wear their uniform and to be part of the Ladysmith Federation community.

Our uniform policy is outlined below.   If a child is wearing a jumper, cardigan or fleece, we expect it to be in the school colour of burgundy. If desired, branded Ladysmith Federation jumpers and fleeces can be bought in Thomas Moore in Exeter but the rest of the uniform can be purchased from any high street store or supermarket.

Second hand uniform can be purchased from a PTFA led second hand uniform shop.  For details, please see the information below.

Main Uniform
Nursery: No set uniform
Whole School:
  • Grey/black trousers
  • Grey/black shorts
  • Grey/black pinafore dress, grey/black pleated skirt
  • Blue and white checked or striped dress
  • Burgundy or Grey tights
  • White/ burgundy polo shirt or open neck white shirt
  • Burgundy jumper, cardigan or fleece
PE
  • Navy or black shorts / plain navy / black tracksuit bottoms
  • Burgundy polo shirt (branded burgundy polo shirts can be purchased from Thomas Moore if desired) or
  • Plain white polo shirt or plain white T-shirt
  • Trainers
Hair, Jewellery and accessories
  • No jewellery allowed except for a watch and only small, plain studs if children have pierced ears.  These need to be covered with tape during PE if they cannot be taken out.
  • Watches – to be analogue or digital.  No smart watches (no watches with cameras or access to the internet).
  • Hair accessories are to be kept to a discreet minimum.
  • Dyed hair is not allowed.
  • Make up and nail varnish should not be worn in school.

The above uniform policy has been agreed by the Federation Governors as part of the Federation Behaviour Policy.

Second Hand Uniform

The CPTT has lots of great quality 2nd hand school uniform for sale. All money goes to the school.

Skirts, pinafores, trousers, shorts, non-logo jumpers and cardigans - £1 each

Logo jumpers and cardigans - £2 each
